Commodore’s New Year message

Happy New Year to all of our members, PIGs and friends. Here is a reminder of two special dates. The 31st Annual Dinner will, as always, be at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in Knightsbridge on Friday March 11th. Two weeks later and we’ll be enjoying our regular Good Friday lunch at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club, though this time we have three stones to lay at our buoy, in memory of our members John Ferree and John Hollamby together with PIG Ian Shuttleworth.

But before that, I must don my editorial hat and put together the next addition of the Club’s “Archivist’s Notebook”. I would be most grateful for any contribution that would make for amusing and fascinating reading – and, of course, photos of events.

And if you’re aware of any “incidents”, and they’re right for the Club, do let me know. Our Academy has seen three graduates this year – they are the future of the South West Shingles.
